After reading this chapter the events of the previous chapter make more sense. The main events in this chapter revolve around Gatsby's murder and funeral. In this chapter we also get to meet Gatsby's father. To me he did not seam to care as much as a father should have right after his son murdered.
Through every thing we did learn a lot about Gatsby, but there are still
some things that I would have liked to know. Like where did Gatsby
really get all of his money? We where never given a strait answer, but I
guess that that is just one of the many things that we will continue to
wonder about. After chapter 7 we are not really told what else happened to anyone they just seems to continue on with their lives.
This is one of the best books that I have been assigned to read for
school. I liked the book a lot even though there where some parts that
where confusing and hard to understand what happened. I enjoyed not
having a quiz on every chapter and just being able to enjoy the book
instead of stressing over remembering ever little thing for a quiz. The
project also helped me to figure out some of the things that I did not
understand the first time that I read the chapter. I loved the idea of
this project and wish that other teachers would also do this for books
that we have to read.

Chapter 8
A lot happened in this chapter. There where many things he we had to
piece together or the events to fully make sense. The main thing to
happen in this chapter was Gatsby's murder. I have to say that I did not
see that coming at all. I had to look back over the chapter a few time
to understand what exactly had happened.
Wilson is convinced that Tom is the one that killed Daisy after he finds out about the affair. he kept saying, "He murdered her."(166) Later it is mentioned that Wilson is looking for looking for Gatsby's house. There is than a shot that rings out. Nick drives form the station right to Gatsby's house. the chauffeur, butler, gardener, and Nick quickly go down to the pool where they find Gatsby dead. As they are taking him back up to the house they also find Wilson's body on the lawn. Why was Wilson looking for Gatsby? What was Wilson's body doing on the lawn and is he the reason for Gatsby's death?

Chapter 7
In this chapter the main thing to happen was the fight that Tom and
Gatsby had. Now I did not understand everything that happened completely
but maybe writing this post will help some. The big thing that I think
that starts the fight is when Tom sees Daisy walking "close to Gatsby,
touching his coat with her hand."(128) Where the fight really starts is
when Tom accuses Gatsby of never going to Oxford. Though Gatsby tells
him that he did go but only for five months. Than the develops into who
Daisy loves. Tom says that he and Daisy have a history and he has always
loved her even though he has gone of and done some stupid things but he
always loved her. Gatsby also gets Daisy to say "I never
loved..."(139)you to Tom. Although she later said that at one point she
did love Tom. Gatsby also said to Tom "Daisy's leaving you."(140) Than
this developed into Tom accusing Gatsby of stealing and making illegal
money.
The most shocking thing to happen in this chapter was when we found out that Daisy is the one that hit Myrtle with the car. At this time I believe that Daisy is trying to come to grips with the fact hat she killed a person, and that that is what part of the next chapter is going to consist of.

Chapter 6
In this chapter the major event is Daisy and Tom going to
one of Gatsby’s parties. Daisy and Gatsby acted like they were friends that
have not seen each other for a long time. They danced and even got some time to
talk alone with some help from Nick to keep watch. Sometime later Gatsby asked
Nick to stay after the party to talk. The first thing that Gatsby said was “She
didn’t like it”. (116) He was very worried that Daisy did not enjoy the
party. Although it was very clear to us that
she had a good time. Daisy had kept saying how lovely everyone was, and she
also said I’ve never meet so many celebrities!” (111) We see more in this
chapter how much Gatsby likes Daisy by the way that he was so worried that she
did have a good time. We are starting to see the more vulnerable side of him, the
side that it would seem that most people don’t get to see. I believe that Nick
is possibly one of the only if not the only that has seen this side of Gatsby. I
wonder when Tom will find out how close Daisy and Gatsby really are, or if he
even does not find out about them at all.

Chapter 4
The major event that happens in this chapter is us finding
out that Gatsby likes Daisy. We learned that they met years ago during the war.
Jordan said that Gatsby “looked at Daisy while she was speaking, in the way
that every young girl wants to be looked at sometimes, and because it seemed
romantic to me I have remember the incident ever since.”(80) Gatsby seemed to
make quit an impression on just Jordan alone, you can only imagine the impression
that he made on Daisy all those years ago. We do not really know what else
happened between them, but I assume that they had gotten to know each other
better before he had to leave to go overseas. Daisy’s family did not let her
say goodbye. I believe that what her family did to her she was very hurt and
did not want to go through with anything like that again. Gatsby is now back
and is obviously still interested in Daisy. He bought the house that he lives
in “so that Daisy would be just across the bay,” (83) Jordan had told Nick. We see
that Gatsby want to meet Daisy again after all of those years, but that he is also
nerves and does not know what to do and asks for help. Now we have to wait and see what Nick decides
to do, and if he will help even though he will be caught up in yet another
complicated relationship. We learned a little about Gatsby’s past and we also
see another side of him, but he still seems just as mysterious as in the beginning.
I think that later the relationship between Daisy and Gatsby is going to play a
big part in the story.

Chapter 1
Nick makes the perfect narrator for the story because he is
a non-judgmental person. Having the story told through his eyes gives us a non-
biased prospective of the characters and the events that happen. This helps us
to choose what we think of everything instead of the author. The major event in
the first chapter is Nick going to Tom and Daisy’s house. We meet officially
meet four of the character in this chapter. The people that live in west egg
live a very luxurious life. They have enough money to the point where they do
not have to even work, and they can just lunge around the house all day. We
meet Tom and Daisy, and learn that Tom is cheating on Daisy. I expect this to
play a big part in the story. They don’t seem to really get along very well,
are arguing a lot, and Tom cuts Daisy off when she is talking quite a bit. The last
person that we meet is Jordan. She plays golf. I also believe that she is Nicks
love interest in the story. Jordan tells Nick that Tom has a mistress and
everyone know but it is that kind of things that you just do not talk about.
Daisy does know about his mistress but she acts oblivious to the fact that her
husband is cheating on her. I believe that she is trying to hide the fact that
her husband is cheating on her, and does not want her life of money and riches
to end so she acts like nothing is happening.
It was mentioned that Daisy and Tom have a two year old girl. Daisy
later tells Nick about when she saw her baby for the first time. She told him
that she said, “I’m glad it’s a girl. And I hope she’ll be a fool—that’s the
best thing a girl can be in this world, a beautiful little fool.”(21) I think that Daisy said that because the less
about the world that we know the more enjoyable our little world can be. At the
end of the chapter we get a short glimpse of Gatsby, though we have not officially
met him yet. I wonder who this Gatsby person is and what part he is going to
play.
